Marsha D. James, 68, of Bellefontaine, passed away Monday afternoon, March 15, 2021, at Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
Marsha was born in Dayton, on Feb. 15, 1953, to the late Arthur William and Margaret Louise (Cole) Hammonds. She was also preceded in death by a sister Karen Hammonds.
Marsha married Junior James on Dec. 28, 1992, and he survives in Bellefontaine. She is also survived by sons: Anthony Barton, Austin James, and Shane Barton, all of Bellefontaine; several grandchildren; a sister Cindy Cooper of Ft. Myers, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
A 1972 graduate of Miamisburg High School, Marsha delivered the Bellefontaine Examiner newspaper for many years – a job she loved, and she loved helping her customers. With her husband Junior, they raised numerous kids over the years. Marsha enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and sharing her recipes.
A celebration of Marsha’s life will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 20, at Solid Rock Baptist Church.
