Marlene F. Cole, 84, of Lakeview, passed away Sunday morning, July 18, 2021, at Indian Lake Rehabilitation Center.
Marlene was born on December 25, 1936, in Lakeview, a daughter of the late Jason and Ollie Dobie Taylor. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jacqueline Leota Cole, and three siblings, LaVera Haggard, Franklin Taylor and her twin, Charlene Bennett.
Marlene is survived by her three daughters, Leondra (Mike) Haueisen of West Jefferson, Teresa Cole of Russells Point, and Patricia (Doug Stewart) Cole of Bellefontaine, six grandchildren, Dennis (Whitney) Thornsberry, Dylan Thornsberry, Kayla (Alan Baughman) Powers, Samantha Powers, Sienna Stewart, and Shaelyn Stewart, seven great-grandchildren, Clayton Thornsberry, Maria Thornsberry, Cody Thornsberry, Calvin Thornsberry, Adeline Thornsberry, Mary Baughman, and JoAnne Baughman.
Marlene was a 1956 graduate of Blume High School. She retired after 29 years in 1993 from Superior Tube in Wapakoneta. She enjoyed doing crafts, painting, drawing, knitting, and crocheting. Her greatest joy came from her family and being with her grandchildren.
Pastor Stewart Jenkins will begin a celebration of Marlene’s life at 3 p.m. Saturday, September 25, with visitation from 1 to 3 p.m. Inurnment will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery. New Hampshire.
Memorial contributions may be given in Marlene’s honor to Logan County Cancer Society.
