John David Engle, 53, of Belle Center, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 11, 2021, at his residence.
He was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio on April 10, 1968, the son of David Wilson Engle and Carol Ann (Ewing) and Gerald Snapp, all who preceded him in death.
On March 26, 2014, he married Jennifer Tillman in Urbana, and she survives in Belle Center.
He is also survived by his son, Aaron (Lindsey Briggs) Engle of Tulsa, OK, three daughters; Heather (Matt) Kemper of Tipp City, Erin (Aaron) Long of Bellefontaine, Haley (Mason) Prickett of Marysville, four grandchildren; Maddox and Mylah Kemper, Reese Long, and Jack Prickett, a sister, Tami (Brian) Henry of West Liberty, his father and mother in-laws; Tim (Marcia) Tillman of Bellefontaine and Lynn (Gary) McLaughlin of Bellefontaine, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, the Brother-in-Law Club, his dog Paisley and many other loving family and friends.
John was a 1986 graduate of Bellefontaine High School and JVS. He began working for Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Homes in 1996, where he held the position as crematory manager. He was the jack of all trades at the funeral home and took pride in serving families in need for more than 25 years. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, watching NASCAR, working with older model cars and could fix anything. He enjoyed taking on projects of all sizes, whether it be at home or work, and was always very organized and precise in all that he did.
Pastor Keith Matthews will officiate a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 18, in the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 306 N. Elizabeth St., Belle Center.
Friends may call to the funeral home on Friday, from 3 to 7 p.m.
