USAF Lt. Col. (ret.) Mark L. Stout, 67, of Fairborn, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018, after a brief illness.
He was born June 26, 1950, in Bellefontaine, the son of the late James Stout and Dorothy Bosart Stout, who survives.
Mark joined the Ohio Air National Guard in 1972 and also began teaching English at Graham High School. After 10 years of teaching, Mark decided to go to law school, graduating from both Bowling Green State University and the University of Dayton. He was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1987.
Mark began working full time at the Air National Guard base in Springfield, serving as director of personnel, logistics officer and chief of maintenance. In 1992 was appointed commander of the 269th Combat Communication Squadron. He then followed with employment with TAC Enterprises before finally retiring in 2016. Mark enjoyed antiquing, gardening and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Marion Bissonnette Stout; his beloved daughter Hannah (Dax) Brown; and his sister, Shari Stout.
Funeral services are at 7 p.m. Thursday June 7, at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Road, Fairborn, where calling begins at 4 p.m. prior to the service. Chaplain Jon Trainer officiates.
