Ryan Christopher “Swirl” Bahr, 35, of Enon and formerly of Bellefontaine, gained his angel wings on June 2, 2018, among his family.
He was born Oct. 27, 1982, in Bellefontaine. Ryan was a graduate of Benjamin Logan High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army 82nd Airborne Division’s infantry paratroopers. Following his military service he became a level 2 firefighter and EMT and was employed by Ultramet in Urbana.
Ryan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary Jane Hughes, Chester Burl Collier, Dean Alton Bahr and Ralph Nelson Robb. Ryan is survived by his wife, Danialle Kristyne; parents, Deaneta (Rick) Zook, Galen Scott Collier and Christopher Dean (Molly) Brown; children, Urijah Christopher, Nyjah Kristine and twin boys, Alijah Lee and Josijah Nelson; three sisters, Chamika (Crystal Jacobs) Hayman, and Lauralee and Amanda Collier; grandmothers, Joann Collier and Loretta Bahr; several nieces nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and many cherished friends.
Ryan was a good-hearted man who would help anyone in need. He could always make anyone smile in the most trying times. He had a magical soul that shined so bright that everyone would want to be around him. He was an amazing father who would do anything to make his children smile. His love of music and family will be carried on through his light that will always shine through his children and family.
Funeral services are at 3:30 p.m. Friday, June 8, at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home, 5591 S. U.S. Route 68, West Liberty, where visitation is from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday, June 7.
