Rodney W. Heizer, 50, of 4429 County Road 222, Huntsville, was charged with disorderly conduct related to an incident early Friday morning at his residence.
A deputy of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to the residence about 4 a.m. on a report of Heizer yelling and playing loud music, keeping other household members awake.
The deputy spoke with Heizer’s stepfather at the home and then entered the defendant’s bedroom. He found that Heizer was holding a pocket knife with the blade extended.
The deputy ordered him to set the knife down and talk outside of the bedroom. Heizer reportedly set down the knife, but would not walk away from the knife.
Another deputy arrived on the scene. While a deputy pointed a Tazer at Heizer, the defendant was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Logan County Jail, where he continued to be combative and was placed in a restraint chair.
