Cecil C. Crowden, 70, of 3835 Mohawk Drive, Huntsville, was charged with domestic violence related to an incident at his residence Monday morning.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to his address about 7:35 a.m. on a report from his wife, stating that her husband had pushed her down in the garage.
Upon arrival, his wife told deputies that she and Crowden had been in a verbal argument and he said he was leaving. She said she then shut the door behind him and that he then pushed the door back open and put his hand on her face and pushed her. His wife said she lost her balance and fell on the garage floor, striking her face on a wooden bench.
She told deputies she did not need any medical attention. Deputies observed a scrape on her left elbow and red marks on her face.
Following the altercation, Crowden reportedly had left the residence and drove to the sheriff’s office. He spoke with a deputy there, stating that his wife had “gone off on him” regarding things he hadn’t done. He said his wife had slammed the door on his foot and admitted to pushing the door back open and pushing her.
He was placed under arrest and was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
