Lewis D. Watkins, 23, of 226 N. Madriver St., was arrested at 4:45 p.m Tuesday on a domestic violence charge after officers responded to a call from Shakeilah White that he had assaulted her at her 122 1/2 N. Main St. apartment.
He reportedly slapped and choked her while moving his belongings out of her apartment Watkins was located nearby and taken into custody without incident.
OVI arrest made
Roger P. Neer, 64, of 1001 W. Columbus Ave., was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs afrter a 3 p.m Tuesday traffic stop at Palmer Avenue and Main Street.
After receiving reports of erratic driving, an officer began following him north of downtown and saw the vehicle drive onto the curb. He was stopped and failed field sobriety tests before being placed under arrest.
Fake bill accepted
Employees of Madiver Marathon, 200 E. Sandusky Ave., reported at about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday they received a fake $100.
Woman faces theft charge
Stephanie Wilson, 31, of 228 E. Chillicothe Ave., was charged Sunday with theft for taking $125 in groceries from Walmart, 2281 S. Main St., on Saturday.
Store staff said she and a man loaded a cart with merchandise and she alone self-scanned and paid for a portion of the goods before leaving the store.
Runaway charged
