RHOADS |
Jeremy L. Rhoads, 38, of 5140 County Road 65, DeGraff, was charged with two counts of theft and was lodged in the Logan County Jail Thursday evening.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office first received a theft report Monday from the defendant’s mother, Linda Rhoads, 63, of the same address.
She reported that some of her jewelry and small tools, such as a circular saw and drills that belonged to her late husband, were missing.
Mr. Rhoads’ sister, Jill Mathys, 36, of 5118 C.R. 65, DeGraff, also reported that some small tools, including saws and drills, were missing.
During their investigation, deputies learned that the defendant had pawned the items in Bellefontaine and Sidney. Mr. Rhoads reportedly confessed to the thefts and stated that he had pawned the items to support his drug habit. He was placed under arrest.
