Mary Rutan Hospital’s Family Birth Center welcomed its first baby of the New Year Monday afternoon with the arrival of an 8 lb., 10.8 oz., 22 inch-long boy named Jasiah Sloan Snapp.
Tuesday morning, his parents Kaylee Popp and Warrick Snapp of Urbana enjoyed spending time with their new son, who made his official arrival at 1:02 p.m. Jan. 3, one day prior to his due date.
Jasiah’s grandparents are Harmony and Ryan Smith of Urbana, Kevin and Alicia Popp of Piqua, Megan Phifer of Springfield and Nathan Snapp of Urbana.
Mary Rutan Hospital provided the family with a Baby New Year gift basket, with a variety of baby items along with a golden spoon.
