Helen Kiefer passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on the morning of Dec. 22, 2016.
She is survived by her daughter, Laura Ramsay; son, Michael Melching; grandchildren, Jason Daubenmire and Christina Harrison; and great-grandchildren, Melina and Emma Daubenmire.
She is preceded in death by her son, Richard Bradford Harrison and husband, Ed Kiefer.
A graduate of Canton South High School, Helen made her home over the years in Pasadena, Buckeye Lake, Columbus, Hilton Head and Indian Lake where she easily made friends and was always ready for a game of cards or Scrabble.
She enjoyed the simple things in life; a good game of bridge, watching the birds play in her garden, gathering with friends and reading a book by the fire. There was nothing more special to her than her family. She was proud when she introduced her children, supportive of her many siblings and caring for her husband of 26 years.
Her warm smile and caring spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
The funeral is at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High Street, (one half mile south of I-270), where calling begins two hours prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society, 3015 Scioto Darby Executive Ct, Hilliard, OH 43026.
