COLUMBUS— Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced Friday the appointment of Natasha R. Kennedy as a judge within the Logan County Court of Common Pleas, Family Court.
Kennedy of Bellefontaine will assume office on Aug. 2, and will be replacing retired Judge Dan Bratka. She must run for election in November 2022 to retain the office.
Since August 2019, Kennedy has served as a magistrate at the Logan County Common Pleas Court, Family Court Division.
In prior positions, she served as magistrate at the Logan County Common Pleas Court, General Division, and was also an assistant county prosecutor at the Logan County Prosecutor’s Office.
Kennedy received her law degree from University of Akron School of Law, and undergraduate degree from Ohio University.
She is currently active in the First United Presbyterian Church of Bellefontaine and is a board member and past president of the Kiwanis Club of Bellefontaine; and is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Logan County Bar Association, Ohio Association of Magistrates, and the Ohio Child Support Enforcement Agency Directors’ Association. She also is a member of the Jo Ann Davidson Leadership Institute.
