An Indian Lake Middle School eighth grade student got her 13th birthday present a few days early.
Joslyn Cummins, who officially celebrated her birthday Sunday, look home both grand and reserve champion honors for in the 2021 Logan County Fair’s Born and Raised Sheep Show on Thursday evening.
“This is a good birthday present,” Joslyn said, noting that it is her first time winning grand or reserve honors after five years of showing sheep.
The animals were bred by her grandparents Mark and Gayla Devitt and she named the grand champion Patrick and the reserve winner Sandy.
Rounding out the top five overall placers were Kayla Cummins, third; Chloe Borgerding, fourth; and Raegan Hites, fifth.
