Gerald Lee Predmore, Sr., 76, of Bellefontaine, passed away Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018, in Akron, with family at his side.
He was born in Rushsylvania on Feb. 8, 1942, to the late Terrence “Step” Predmore and Mattie Marie Simpkins Predmore. On June 8, 1973, he married Phyllis McGee at Bellefontaine Church of the Brethren.
Gerald retired from Carter Steel as a Class A welder and worked at Hi-Point Beef until their closure. He enjoyed the outdoors and spent time camping, fishing and gardening. He also loved to visit family and friends and was a long-time member of the Church of the Brethren.
Gerald is survived by his wife; two children, Gerald (Jennifer) Predmore Jr. of Marysville and Mark Faulder of Wapakoneta; six grandchildren, David Faulder, Andreis Faulder; Amber Shaner, Jacob Predmore, Thomas Predmore and Isaac Predmore; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lewis (Lillian) Predmore of Kerman, Calif., and Jerry (Janet) Predmore of Belle Center; and one sister, Karen Kuck.
He was proceeded in death by his daughter, Phyllis Denise Faulder; one grandchild, Lance Faulder; four brothers, Carl Junior Predmore, Lowell Predmore, Dick Predmore and Bobby Predmore; and six sisters, Eileen Fulton, Frances Whitson, Mary Downey, Helen Atha, Virginia Tuttle and Elsie Janet Fields.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, at Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine, following calling that begins at noon. Burial is in Rushslyvania Cemetery.
