Thanks to the tremendous support of the community, a recent fundraiser for a local Calvary Christian High School senior will provide the young man’s family with much-needed financial help.
According to Aaron Schrader, youth pastor at Vineyard Christian Fellowship, Bellefontaine — where the event was hosted on Feb. 27— the group sold around 375 meals to the hundreds of people who came out in support of 17-year-old Josh Harmison, who was diagnosed with sarcoma cancer earlier this year.
One older gentleman with no ties to the family offered a large donation in honor of his wife, who had lost her life to sarcoma. And there were many similar stories of heartwarming generosity.
Next up for Josh— a scan on March 7 to determine how the treatment is working.
“Cancer has touched so many people,” Schrader said. “If anyone wants to continue to keep him in their prayers, we appreciate the support.”
