Fred Austin Brill, 90, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Monarch Skilled Nursing in Marysville.
He was born June 9, 1931, in Range, Ohio, to Oliver and Beatrice (Gahm) Brill.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Christina (Wilcox) Brill, whom he married April 20, 1985. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Alice Brill, and a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Brill.
He is survived by his first wife, Mary Virginia Schuer Brill, whom he married June 2, 1951, and divorced in January 1984. He is also survived by his brother, Harold Brill of Orient; his children, Rose (Mike) Lyons, Phillip Brill, Carol (Mark) Stinemetz, Dwight (Marilyn) Brill, Joyce (Harold) Porginski, Jeff (Carolyn) Brill, Tom (Charlotte) Brill, Gary (Jeannie) Brill and Richard (Cyndi) Brill; and stepchildren Linda (Rod) Kerns, Bev (Robert) Wilcox, Robert (Chun) Shoots, Carol (Mike) Wayman and Steven (Lori) Shoots; grandchildren, Mary (Kevin) Puckett, Michelle (Max) Zeigler, Melissa (Jon) Heizer, Danuall (Doug) Schoen, Gini Thomas, Cassy Brill, Amy Schirtzinger, Wendy Stinemetz, Allen (Halli) Stinemetz, Robert Brill, Anita (Kris) Price, Becky (Joe) Jaska, Cathy (Chad) Halloway, Samantha (Eric) Watkins, Stephanie (Jay Watkins) Miller, Wayne (Nicole) Brill, Emily (J.D.) Harshfield, Tina (Matt) Buyer, Joe (Kim) Brill, Lance (Carrie) Brill, Luke (Cassidy) Brill and Sara (Justin Monroe) Brill.
Fred is also survived by 47 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, 24 step great-grandchildren and eight step great-great-grandchildren.
Fred was a farmer all of his life. He enjoyed fishing, camping, playing cards and wood crafts, which he made and gave to his family over the years. He enjoyed outdoors caring for his garden and mowing his well-kept yard. For a few years, he and Chris spent winters in Florida, where he enjoyed the activities of the community where they stayed.
A memorial service is at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at the West Mansfield Conservation Club. A private graveside service will take place at a later date.
