Calvary Christian School presents the Western comedic play, The Last One Seen at the Scene of the Crime, by Betty Jo Schram at 7 p.m. tonight. A dinner option also is available from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The storyline follows Kitty Major, played by student Aleesha Watkins, who is famous for her “Gold Nugget Dumplings” in the Dakota Territory. The villain Slick Conman, played by Matt Hane, and his equally evil partner, Anastacia Upstagia, played by Mia Printz, hilariously heist Kitty’s famous recipe assuming it’s a map to buried gold. When they read “one part flour, two parts butter” they decide to hold the recipe for ransom and frame Kitty’s brother for the robbery. Craving Kitty’s dumpling, Rotten Plywood, played by Timothy Zamora, spills the beans and the con artists flee town, poor, broke and extremely hungry. Tickets for the play are $5 for adults and $3 for students, or for the dinner and the play, $12 for adults and $8 for students. (PHOTO | CALVARY CHRISTIAN SCHOOL)
