Wesley K. Anderson, 32, of 420 1/2 N. Detroit St., was arrested Friday for menacing, public intoxication and resisting arrest.
Around 12:05 a.m., officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department were dispatched to the 100 block of north Main Street. He was found behind 120 N. Main St. and claimed he was waiting on his cousin to get home.
He had visible injuries from falling down and he admitted he was drunk.
Apartment residents told police the suspect had caused a disturbance and was throwing items about including discarded furniture.
Officers acted to arrest him and he resisted their efforts until they pulled out a Taser and pressed it to his back. He threatened to harm the officers after his release from jail.
He sustained more abrasion injuries in the struggle and was taken to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment.
Upon medical clearance, he was taken to jail.
