A Bellefontaine man was claimed in a rollover crash Friday evening on County Road 54 near State Route 274, deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report.
Timothy A. Lykins, 68, was pronounced dead at the scene of the 7:25 p.m. crash.
Deputies report he was operating a southbound 2002 Dodge Dakota when his vehicle crossed the center line and went off the left side of the roadway. The pickup then re-entered the road, losing control and overturning.
The vehicle exited the left side of the road and overturned again, coming to rest on its wheels and ejecting the lone occupant, Lykins.
According to the crash report, the driver was not wearing his seat belt. Following the crash, he was transported by Indian Lake EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital.
Damage was heavy to the pickup, which was towed from the scene.
This is the sixth fatal crash this year in Logan County.
