Dr. Lennis H. Green was born on July 14, 1940, in Indianapolis, Ind., and passed peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021, in Columbus.
Her father worked in the insurance industry and the family relocated for his job several times during her childhood. She graduated from Belle Center High School in 1958. After high school she continued her education at The Ohio State University with a Ph.D in psychology. During her time at OSU she met and married Burdette Green.
Lennis worked as a clinical psychologist in Columbus, for many years and had lived in the Worthington area. Lennis had a passion for travel and visited many places across the globe. One of her favorite destinations was Paris. She also enjoyed photography. She loved nature and animals and was a supporter of the Columbus Zoo and Cat Welfare where she had adopted several cats.
She is preceded in death by her father, William J. Harris; her mother, Anna J. Harris (Hester); and her brother, William (Mac) Harris; her first husband, Burdette Green and second husband, Dr. William Binkley.
She is survived by her only niece, Beth A. Ferguson (Paul) and great niece, Ann Ferguson Ross and great nephew, Benjamin M. Gaston.
A small private graveside service will be conducted for the immediate family.
