Pamela Kay Pond, 74, of Huntsville, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at her home.
Pamela was born in Springfield, on Oct. 22, 1946, to the late Opal Lee Collinsworth Horner.
Pamela is survived by her sons: Tony (Chasidy) Pond of Huntsville, Jody (Doris) Long of Huntsville, and Brian K. Long of Rushsylvania; an adopted daughter Jill Cavinder of Huntsville; seven grandchildren: Leeroy Pond, Britney Pond, Jeremy Long, Catrina (Josh) Hall, Trey Long, Cody Long, and Zach Long; four great-grandchildren: Landon, Annie, Gracie, and Skyla Kay; siblings: Beverly Sue Maddox of Jackson Center, Charles Junior Horner of Springfield, and Connie Petty Chumley of New Tazwell, Tenn.; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends Tina Ferguson and Teresa Bebee.
Pamela worked for many years in home health care. She enjoyed cooking, being outdoors and was an avid fan of the University of Tennessee football. Pamela loved to spend time with her grandkids.
Pamela was very grateful for all the Hospice workers, her friends, and family for all the care and help they provided to her during her last days.
Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate Pamela’s funeral service on Monday, March 8, at 1 p.m. at Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Bellefontaine, where visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral. Due to current pandemic orders, please be symptom free, practice social distancing, and consider wearing a mask. Burial will be in Rushsylvania Cemetery.
