Christopher C. Watson, 29, of 10567 State Route 274, Lewistown, was charged with domestic violence related to an incident Friday evening at his residence.
Deputies and a Washington Township Police Department officer responded to the residence about 9:25 p.m. in reference to a domestic dispute.
Watson’s ex-girlfriend, who also resides at the residence, told deputies that the pair had been in an argument and that he had shoved her backwards while she was standing in a doorway to the porch. Deputies observed that her knee had a bloody scrape and was swollen, which she said occurred when her knee hit the doorway.
Watson told deputies that she would not allow him to close the door, so he said he pushed her so he could close the door, and then she fell. He was placed under arrest and lodged in the jail. The couple’s children also were at home at the time of the incident. A report has been forwarded to Logan County Children’s Services and to the Bellefontaine Municipal Court Prosecutor.
