Dolores J. Ott, 90, passed into the arms of our Lord on Jan. 6, 2018, at her home in Ft. Myers, Fla., with family at her bedside.
Dede was born Alpha Dolores Jennings on June 27, 1927, to the late John Herschel Jennings and Ethel “Peg” Robinaugh Jennings in Bellefontaine. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Bud; her sister Norma Jennings Kerns; and grandsons, Jay Peck and Kevin Peck.
Dede married Earl F. “Bud” Ott on March 23, 1947. They raised three children and were happily married for 61 years. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother and always referred to her family as her greatest blessings. She is survived by her children, Bruce (Karen Goulding) Ott of Toledo, Beverly (Bruce) Pepper of Ft. Myers, Fla.,,, and Barbara (James) Peck of Bowling Green; her sister, Lois B. Latimer of Bellefontaine; and her beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, niece and nephews.
She was a 70-year member of the Bellefontaine Order of Eastern Star Chapter 459; a member of the Ursula Woolcott/Black Swamp Daughters of the American Revolution for 47 years; a former member of Providence Lutheran Church of Holland, Ohio; an associate member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church of Bowling Green and a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Ft. Myers, Fla. Dede had a laugh that could light up the room and she will be forever held with loving memory in the hearts of her friends and family.
A Celebration of Life Open House will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 315 S. College Dr., Bowling Green.
