Logan County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating an armed robbery at Woody’s Dinner, 7383 State Route 366, Russells Point.
Shortly after 10 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the restaurant after an individual leaving the business with the day’s receipts of money was attacked by a male armed with a baseball bat.
Sheriff Randy Dodds said the investigation is in the early stages and he is not releasing details on the victim or details of the assault.
He reports the victim was not seriously injured and confirmed that money was taken in the robbery which occurred outside the business.
Deputies and other law enforcement agencies searched the area for the suspect.
