Dayton Christian’s girls basketball team rallied in the second half to edge visiting Riverside 40-38 on Saturday in a non-league contest.
The Pirates fall to 1-4 on the season as the Warriors improve their record to 2-2.
The score was tied at 8-8 after the opening quarter. Riverside took control in the second quarter to go on top 21-15 at the break.
Dayton Christian began its comeback in the third quarter with a 16-12 effort. That left the Warriors trailing 33-31.
Dayton Christian completed its rally with a 9-5 run in the fourth quarter.
Marissa Davis led Riverside’s efforts with 15 points and Aubrie Stillings tallied nine points.
Dayton Christian won the junior varisty game 17-13. Ashley Plank had eight points for the Pirates.
Riverside hosts Lima Perry on Thursday for Northwest Central Conference action.
