Indian Lake EMS Joint Ambulance District appears to have a committed general contracting partner to complete its unfinished building project.
Revised estimates from Westerheide Construction Company presented this week in a regular meeting of the Indian Lake EMS board estimate $753,647 to complete construction of a new EMS headquarters across from the existing station at 280 N. Oak St.
Updated plans allow for divided sleeping quarters, as well as exercise and training rooms.
According to project plans, construction crews will be able to use many of the existing materials from work previously done at the site.
Estimated cost to construct the new proposed building is $954,000. Indian Lake EMS has already paid out $200,353 for work already completed.
Westerheide wants $753,647 to complete the project. A building committee of board members, residents and EMS Chief Adam Niederkohr has worked with its building contractor and engineer to generate revised plans for the building.
