Ohio Hi-Point Career Center school board members approved two new hires Wednesday for the district’s office staff to assist with student career placement.
Ashley Wagner of DeGraff was hired to be Ohio Hi-Point’s career specialist.
Her function is to match students up with the program that best fits students’ needs, according to information presented to the board.
She will work actively inside Hi-Point’s partner school districts to pair students with the coursework, whether that’s on-site or as part of a satellite program, that best fits their needs and interests, the board reports.
School board members also approved the hire of a new communications coordinator. Jessie Behnke of West Liberty was hired as the communications coordinator for Hi-Point. She replaces Kelsey Webb, who resigned last month for the purpose of other employment after five years with the district.
