Christine Ann Graves-Stanley, 68, of Zanesfield went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, June 25, 2021, at Upper Valley Medical Center-Inpatient Hospice Unit surrounded by her loving family.
Christy in the last couple years had been saved and was able to be baptized.
Christy was born August 25, 1952, in Bellefontaine to the late Fred “Bus” and DeVelva (Garman) Graves.
Christy worked at Super Foods for 20 years and later retired from Honda after 25 years of dedicated work. She was free spirited and constantly on the go. Christy loved being active and enjoying life to its fullest. Christy loved her animals, especially her horses and was an avid Barrel Racer and enjoyed trail riding with friends.
Her favorite place to ride was in Hocking Hills. She was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association for over 30 years and one of the original members when the Logan County Ohio Horsemen’s Council (LCOHC) was established and has been a member for 25+ years. When she was home she enjoyed spending time in her flower beds, gardening and was a devoted Trump Supporter; listening to podcasts and reading various kinds of articles pertaining to politics.
Christy was not a fan of modern medicine and lived a life of believing in natural and herbal medicine, in the search for natural cures. Christy loved spending time with her family and her dog, Jake. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her sons, Jeremy Stanley of West Liberty, and Jason Stanley of Zanesfield; siblings; Carolyn (Larry) Stewart of Zanesfield Ohio and Donald Graves of Brooksville Florida; a nephew, Scott Graves of Pittsfield, Massachusetts; a niece, Bethany (Jason) Buck West Point New York; great niece and nephews; Joseph Buck, Caleb Buck and Becca Buck.
A Celebration of Life will take place Wednesday, June 30, at 5 p.m. at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory, 5591 US Route 68 South, West Liberty. Visitation will take place from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. A private family burial will take place in North Greenfield Cemetery at a later date.
