A sensational sophomore season ended with Bellefontaine’s Amy Fulmer standing on the awards podium in two different events Friday night at the Division II state swim meet in Canton.

Fulmer finished third in the finals of the 100 freestyle in a time of 51.38 and was sixth in the 100 backstroke (56.89) finals.
It marked the third podium finish at the state meet in two years for Fulmer.
She was eighth in the 100 freestyle as a freshman last season.
“Amy did a fantastic job,” said Bellefontaine head coach Sharon Lewis. “Her goal was to get on the podium in both of her individual events. She knew going into the finals that she had already accomplished that goal, but she still went out and swam with a lot of fire.”
