CENTERVILLE — In a week that started with a loss to Riverside in a non-league game, Bellefontaine regrouped to play its best game of the season here Thursday.

The Chiefs received a stellar outing from their ace Tyler Jones and an aggressive offensive attack took advantage of its scoring opportunities for a 6-0 shutout of host Centerville in a Division I sectional baseball semifinal.
Bellefontaine (21-8) advances to play Beavercreek (22-6) next Thursday in the sectional championship at Centerville.
“I could not be more proud of these guys for the way they competed their butts off,” said Bellefontaine head coach Art Caudill. “These guys are always loose, and sometimes you worry maybe they are too loose. But to their credit, they came out today and played a great game. They did not let the atmosphere bother them at all. This was a really good pride day for the Chiefs.”
