Cheerleading was not the first sport that Bryden Penhorwood became interested in, but his athletic talent made him a natural fit for it.

One of the first two male cheerleaders at Benjamin Logan, Penhorwood has earned a scholarship to cheer for Ohio State University.
The Buckeyes’ staff saw him at a meet and he was later invited to a tryout camp. He earned an offer to join the team, and with his stellar academics, he received a Nike scholarship that will pay his full tuition.
“OSU has a great community and athletic atmosphere,” said Penhorwood on why he chose the Buckeyes.
