Bellefontaine’s football team maintained its position atop its respective region in the latest set of computer ratings released by the OHSAA on Tuesday.
The Chieftains (8-1) are first in Division III, Region 11, with one week remaining in the regular season. The top eight teams in each region earn a spot in the state playoffs.
Riverside (6-3) is also looking strong to make the playoffs. The Pirates are currently sixth in Division VII, Region 28.
Indian Lake (6-3) also sits inside the top eight as the Lakers are seventh in Division V, Region 18.
WL-Salem (7-2) will need a win and some help in Week 10 to make the playoffs. The Tigers are sitting 10th in Division VI, Region 24.
In Division IV, Region 14, Benjamin Logan (5-4) is currently 13th.
Also in Division VII, Region 28, Triad (1-8) is 22nd and Ridgemont (0-9) is 24th.
