SPRINGFIELD — West Liberty-Salem’s high-scoring offensive attack was subdued by a physical Hamilton Badin squad here Saturday afternoon.

The Rams held the Tigers 20 points below their scoring average in a 48-39 win over WL-Salem in a Division III girls district championship game at Springfield High School.
“They took us out of a lot of the things we like to do,” said WL-Salem head coach Dennis McIntosh, who saw his team lose for the first time since falling to Tippecanoe on Dec. 27. “They got physical with us at times and we really didn’t get into an offensive flow the whole day.”
