Anita S. Krummrey, 70, passed away at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, 2018, at her Belle Center home surrounded by her family.
She was born Nov. 30, 1947, in Lima, to the late Walter W. and Molly R. Salyer Wies. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Larry Krummrey, whom she married Aug. 22, 1970.
Anita was retired from Benjamin Logan Schools as the assistant treasurer. Following her retirement, she worked for H&R Block for nine years. She was a 1965 graduate of McGuffey High School.
Anita never met a stranger and will always be remembered for her friendliness and generosity. Spending time with friends, telling stories, cooking and entertaining were all things she enjoyed. She also enjoyed traveling, especially to Maine and South Carolina. In her retirement, she took up golf and spent hours playing in leagues and with Larry and her friends.
One of Anita’s greatest joys in life was being a grandma to her eight grandchildren whom she loved “a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck.” She spent her entire life putting others before herself. She will be deeply missed by all those who were for- tunate enough to have known her.
Also surviving are her daughter, Lisa (Justin) Wolf of Upper Arlington and son, Matthew (Libby) Krummrey of Plain City; eight grandchildren, Drew, Paige, Avery, Riley and Marin Wolf and Megan, Molly and Colby Krummrey; and two sisters, Pam Conley of Belle Center and Sherry (Steve) Prine of Ostrander.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 2, and an hour prior to the funeral services, which begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, 311 E. Lima Ave., Ada, with the Rev. Anthony Krummrey officiating.
