Albert P. Wagner, 96, of Bellefontaine, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
Albert was born Oct. 29, 1923, in Columbus to the late Harry G. and Marie L. (Korenzborn) Wagner. On Sept. 2, 1993, in Bellefontaine he married Betty J. Grubbs.
Albert was a World War II Veteran and served in CBI. He was a Corporal in the Army Air corps where he was injured during his service. He retired from DCSC in Columbus in 1977. Albert was a member of the Eagles #2166, the American Legion #0173, the VFW 1080 and DAV Unit #73. He enjoyed gardening and bowling. Albert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed.Â
He is survived by his wife, Betty J. Wagner; children, Nancy L. Taylor and Brenda K. (Tim) Huffer; grandchildren, Robby, Ginny and Andrew (Betty); great grandchildren, Zoey, Alex and Allison; brother, Gerald Wagner; his extended family, Cindy Hoge, Susan (Dwight) Whitehead, Debbie (Gene) Hall and Joanna (Robert) Gorsuch; many nieces and nephews; several other loving extended family members; loving pets Tyger and Maggie.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Robert Taylor; step daughter, Vicky Jo Grubbs his side kick.
A private family service will take place at a later date.
