Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department are investigating a suspected heroin overdose that nearly killed a Lakeview area woman Wednesday.
Megan M. Gross, 26, was brought into Mary Rutan Hospital around 6 p.m. by an uncle.
He told officers he had driven her to an eye appointment and then to Dayton to pick up a check. The victim met with a woman in a parking lot for about three to five minutes, the uncle said, before returning to his vehicle.
From there, they traveled to a gas station convenience store where the uncle purchased a phone card for his niece and she went into a restroom.
Back in the vehicle and traveling to Bellefontaine, the victim passed out. The uncle continued on and drove to MRH.
Staff there revived the woman, police report.
