West Liberty-Salem’s boys golf team grabbed a key Ohio Heritage Conference win over host Mechanicsburg and also defeated Northwestern Tuesday in a tri-match at Indian Springs Golf Course.
The Tigers improved to 5-0 after holding off the Indians 174-178, while the Warriors finished third with 189.
“This was a very important league win for us,” said WL-Salem head coach Darrin Leichty. “Logan Brown and Tyler Gardner came up huge as we needed their scores from the four and six spots to get the win. We have to continue to improve off the tee so we aren’t scrambling so much.”
