Bellefontaine’s boys soccer team came up short in its season opener with a 3-0 loss to host Troy on Tuesday during a non-league contest.
“We’re really proud of the way that we fought,” said BHS head coach Steve Henry. “This Troy team won 12 games last year and returned 12 seniors. They were very fast and aggressive, but we rose up and matched it. We’ll be better in the next game which is another tough one.”
The Trojans scored at the 37-minute mark of the first half to carry a 1-0 lead into halftime.
