Tambrala D. “Tammy” Elkins, 44, of rural West Liberty, passed away Monday, Aug. 15, 2016, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
She was born Aug. 29, 1971, in Bellefontaine, a daughter of Larry and Bonnie Bazoza Franks, who survive in Urbana.
She is also survived by her children, Clarissa (Aaron) Moffitt of St. Paris, Caleb (Megan) Elkins of Bellefontaine and Cambryia Elkins of West Liberty; grandchildren, Bayla, Berlyn and Bryleigh Moffitt; sisters, Tessca (Ryan) Hites and Trayc (Bill) Petty, both of Bellefontaine, and Tiger Franks of Urbana, brothers, Travis (Kim) Franks of Huntsville and Terk Franks of Bellefontaine; and many nieces and nephews.
She was employed at Nash Finch and was currently serving as president of Bellefontaine City Youth Soccer Association, a position she has held for more than 10 years.
She also had coached soccer for many years, as well as softball and all sports that her children competed in. When she wasn’t working or volunteering with youth sports, she loved being with family and friends, especially her children and grandchildren.
Pastor Bryan Meadows officiates a funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine, where calling is two hours prior to the service. Burial is in Bellefontaine Cemetery.
