The Chieftains, who were coming off their biggest win of the season Tuesday against Springfield Shawnee, improve to 5-9 overall and 5-4 in the Kenton Trail standings.
The Indians remain winless at 0-9, 0-9.
“We hit very well tonight all through our lineup and played strong defense,” said BHS head coach Katie Buffkin.
Each team scored a run in the first inning for a 1-1 tie until Bellefontaine took command in the second inning. The Chiefs piled up eight runs to pull away for a 9-1 advantage. They added another run in the fourth inning for a 10-1 cushion.
Stebbins scored a run in the top of the fifth inning, but BHS answered with two more runs in the bottom of the fifth to secure the run-rule victory.
Shelby Raney powered the Chiefs on offense, going 3-3 with two doubles and a triple. Jaelynn Roberts went 2-3 with a double, Hailee Price had a triple and Jenna Carman had a double.
Maddy Neal recorded the win in the pitching circle.
