Morgan M. Downing, 17, of 10141 Mohawk Drive, Huntsville, was issued a summons for assault following an incident Monday afternoon at the Indian Lake Rollarena, 330 Taylor St., Russells Point.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to the roller skating rink about 5 p.m., where they spoke with Brittany Bryant, 18, of Springfield. She said she had been assaulted without provocation by Morgan, who allegedly punched her in the face.
Brittany sustained minor injuries, and no medical attention was needed, deputies noted.
Deputies then went to Morgan’s residence, and she admitted that she had “snapped” that afternoon after an argument with Brittany. She was issued the summons.
No injuries reported after vehicle strikes guide wire
Molly McCoy, 38, of Urbana, was cited for failure to control following a non-injury crash about 12:30 p.m. Sunday on County Road 10.
Deputies report she was operating an eastbound sport utility vehicle just east of Township Road 180 when she drove off the left side of the road and struck a guide wire, causing light damage to her SUV.
• Tate Hoag, 19, of Kenton, was cited for failure to control following a crash about 2:50 a.m. Sunday on State Route 638 just north of State Route 274.
He reportedly was operating a northbound car that crossed the center line and traveled off the left side of the road and struck a ditch. Damage was moderate to his car.
Neither he nor his four passengers reported any injuries.
• Amanda Henry, 23 of Bellefontaine, was cited for failure to yield when turning left following a non-injury crash in the city about 10:45 p.m. Friday.
She reportedly was operating a northbound car on north Main Street and attempted to make a left turn at Sandusky Avenue when the stoplight was turning yellow, she said. Her vehicle struck a southbound car operated by Justin Blanton, 28, of Carey.
Damage was heavy to Mr. Blanton’s vehicle and moderate to Ms. Henry’s vehicle.
• Maxine Trout, 17, of Middleburg, did not report any injuries after a crash about 2 p.m. Sunday on County Road 152 near Township Road 227.
She reportedly was operating a southbound car when she drove off the right side of the road and struck a telephone pedestal box, causing light damage to her car. No citations were issued.
Thefts investigated
Ellena Houser of Rushsylvania reported Monday afternoon that an air condenser had been taken from a residence that was being remodeled at 156 N. Oak Drive, Lakeview.
• Tamara Ashcraft, 3806 Logan Road, Bellefontaine, reported Monday afternoon that a necklace had been taken from her residence sometime during the past several months.
