Driver Jocelynn D. Kennaw, 17, and her passenger, Bailey Engle, 14, both of Zanesfield, each were transported by Tri-Valley EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of suspected minor injuries sustained in a rollover crash Tuesday morning.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report Kennaw was operating a southbound 1998 Toyota Corolla on County Road 5 near Township Road 182 about 7:20 a.m. when she swerved to miss a deer, lost control and then drove left of center, overcorrected and went off the right side of the road.
The car then struck a large rock and a utility pole guide wire, overturned three times and came to a final rest on its top.
Damage was heavy to the car, which was towed from the scene. The two occupants were wearing their seat belts. Jocelynn was cited for failure to control.
