A clerk at Madriver Marathon, 200 E. Sandusky Ave., reported Tuesday a suspect made threats he would rob the store and slit her throat.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department responded at 6:55 p.m. and met with the victim. She told them it was the second time in month the tall, thin white male had made a threat to rob the business. Each time, he claims he was only joking.
This time, the clerk’s sister was visiting the store when she heard the suspect threaten to harm the victim.
The suspect was wearing dark blue frame glasses and has a neck tattoo and short brown hair.
He drove off in a silver Honda Civic. Officers are hoping to identify the suspect and anyone with information can call the department at (937)599-1010.
• Officers are reviewing a surveillance video from a north Main Street business which recorded a suspect spray painting the side of a tractor-trailer rig while it was parked at 11:15 a.m. Monday behind Homecoming Restaurant, 1330 N. Main St.
The semi driver was inside the restaurant dining at the time.
