Five members of the Zanesfield Petanque Club traveled to the Newark Petanque Club on Dec. 21 to play in a Christmas tournament.
After three qualification rounds, six teams were seeded. Zanesfield’s Mitchell McCune and Ahmed Chafi played the other ZPC team of Lucy Johns, Shannon Hodge and Justin Bo Johns. Team Lucy won 13-10. They won their next game to reach the final, which they dropped 13-12 to Newark Petanque.
