A final push to complete renovations to the Logan County Courthouse is on or ahead of schedule, the Logan County Commissioners report.

“I’m pleased and thrilled by that news,” Commissioner Dustin Wickersham said after a Thursday meeting with Midstate Contractors Inc.’s Doug Hooper.
In February, the commissioners signed the final amendment to the design/build contract, which set the completion deadline of Nov. 12.
“That’s the date they are to turn over the keys to us,” Commissioner John Bayliss said. “We anticipate that we will be moving furniture and fixtures into the courthouse before that.
“As we get closer to fall we will have a better idea of when we can start to move in,” Wickersham added. “We may know by the end of July or early August.”
Progress continues inside and out, and it is the outside work that the community notices.
“We’re really excited about the progress on the outside,” Commissioner Joe Antram said, adding residents have told the commissioners it is encouraging to see.
