Lauralee D. Williams, 44, of 11349 Shawnee Path, Lakeview, and Lori S. Pacha, 54, of 11553 Chickasaw Path, Lakeview, each was lodged in the Logan County Jail after methamphetamine and a spoon with cocaine residue were recovered during a traffic stop early Tuesday morning.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office observed a vehicle operated by Williams that was driving about 36 mph in a 55 mph zone in the 11900 block of State Route 235 about 12:45 a.m. Upon further observation, the Williams vehicle also committed several marked lanes violations.
A traffic stop was initiated at Chickasaw Path. Deputies observed that the passenger, Pacha, appeared nervous, and the driver said she had consumed alcohol several hours ago, but she did not show further indicators of intoxication.
During a search of the vehicle, deputies recovered a metal spoon in Williams’ purse with burn marks and a white powder substance. She said the pair had been at a party earlier where cocaine was being used, and she claimed someone at the party must have put the spoon in her purse.
Deputies said the white powder tested positive for cocaine. Also during the stop, Pacha handed deputies a white crystal substance from her pocket, which she said was “meth.”
Pacha was charged with possession of methamphetamine, while Williams was charged with possession of cocaine, felony possession of criminal tools, and was cited for no operator’s license and received a marked lanes violation. They were lodged in the Logan County Jail.
