Lisa Graham, 52, of 909 Eastern Ave., was charged Friday with criminal trespassing and theft.
Teresa Brenneman, 842 Eastern Ave., called officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department around 6:05 a.m. to report Graham crossed the street with a bowl and offered its contents to Brenneman’s two dogs which were just put outside on chain tethers.
One dog approached Graham who unchained it and dragged it back to her home. She would not return the dog to Brenneman or her husband but finally gave it back to their daughter.
Officers went to the front door of Graham’s residence but she would not answer. They found a side door unlocked, entered, announced their presence and then located the suspect in her bed. She was acting as if she was asleep and struggled with officers when the began to handcuff her.
She was taken into custody and lodged in jail.
• Stephany D. McCleese, 43, at large, was charged Saturday with violating a civil protection order after she admitted she spoke with and hugged Eddie Coleman outside his 408 Walker St. residence around 3:50 p.m.
Coleman’s daughter-in-law reported the incident. Officers located McCleese north of the residence and arrested her. She was lodged in jail.
