LOCKWOOD |
Todd A. Lockwood, 53, of 209 E. Patterson Ave., was charged Tuesday with domestic violence.
Around 5:35 p.m., officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department met with Ashley Ashcraft, of the same address, and she told them she picked up the suspect from a friends’s house because he was intoxicated and needed a ride home.
Once home, the two began to argue and he slapped her, causing her nose to bleed. She cleaned up, but the argument continued and he began to slap her repeatedly.
She left for neighbor’s house, but he followed, knocking her down and slammed her head into the concrete walk. He also started slapping her more.
He ordered her back into the house. She stood up and noticed lawn care workers nearby and yelled to them.
The suspect let her go and she ran to the workers.
Officers noted multiple visible injuries to the victim’s face and head.
Lockwood denied attacking Ashcraft. He was arrested and lodged in the Logan County Jail.
