A woman involved in a rash of break-ins at numerous campgrounds last winter was sentenced to eight years in prison during recent hearings in Logan County Common Pleas Court.
Alyssa Taflinger, 26, of Lima, was sentenced for six counts of theft, 12 counts of petty theft, 11 counts of vandalism, one count of criminal damaging and two counts of burglary.
She and Larry Lyle III, 26, of Lima, were arrested Dec. 28 after deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office saw them leaving the Oak Crest Campground, 4226 County Road 187, where deputies were headed to investigate a burglary complaint.
Investigation connected the couple to burglaries of 34 campers at 10 different area campgrounds over several months.
Lyle was sentenced to 10 years in prison for a similar list of convictions.
The original indictment against Taflinger contained 85 counts while 87 charges were filed against Lyle.
