Jennifer Watkins, 37, of 450 Kristina Drive, Apt. 13E, was found dead in her apartment around 9:25 p.m. Thursday after officers responded to a reported medical emergency.
They had to force their way into the apartment and found Watkins on the floor of her kitchen.
Bellefontaine paramedics responded soon after and transported Watkins to Mary Rutan Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Officers did not observe any signs of criminal activity at the residence. They report the victim had a history of medical issues which they believe led to her death. The Logan County Coroner’s Office is investigating the death.
Man revived after fentanyl overdose
A 31-year-old man was revived with Narcan around 7 p.m. Thursday after he overdosed on fentanyl, according to officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department.
They recovered a capsule with white powder inside the 1000 Garfield Ave., Lot 82, residence. The overdose victim was visiting when he collapsed face down on the floor. Once he was revived, he told officers the drug was fentanyl.
The recovered drug has been sent away for testing.
